Teaching

Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by;
instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water.
Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning how to learn.”

My life has been changed for the better, by teaching.

I got the chance to make a real, positive difference in someone else’s life.

I like to make other people feel good and make them feel more comfortable with their own bodies and increasing their self-confidence.

Because when you practice self-care, you know you’re doing something positive for your mind, body, and spirit, and you’ll naturally feel more confident as a result.

Teaching yoga is challenging and fulfilling, much like a regular yoga practice. I put my heart, soul and my creativity into the classes I teach through practicing cueing and sequencing, crafting different playlists, and always being mentally present for my students in every class.

My students inspire and motivate me in ways they may never know and understand.

You learn so much when you teach; it’s a never-ending process of learning by teaching and I learn a lot from my students.

I love everything about teaching. Creating a class theme, finding inspiration in quotes and yoga poses to support my theme. Find the connection with people and helping them to let go of the stresses of their daily lives.

Every day when I wake up, I am grateful and happy to do what I love, teaching and sharing my energy through my Classes. I have also the possibility to know different people around the world, talking and confronting me with others culturs every day.

Teaching is really much more than just explaining an “Asana” or the perfect execution of a squat . It is an endless journey of self-discovery by constantly learning something new while helping others becoming the best version of themselves.

DISCIPLINES

VINYASA YOGA

“It’s the journey not the destination.”

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic practice, it connects one posture to the next using the breath. This can be thought of as linking or flowing into postures which is sometimes why it’s called “Flow Yoga”. This practice is great for cultivating strength and stability.

Considered a “moving meditation,” Vinyasa is about harmony and balance, grace and fluidity. We move and notice how we are moving and what moves us.

The term Vinyasa is derived from nyasa, meaning “to place,” and vi, meaning “in a special way.” This indicates that we are not “throwing our bodies around” but are bringing consciousness to each movement in each moment.

As a philosophy, Vinyasa recognizes the temporary nature of things. We enter into a posture, are there for a while and then leave.

HATHA YOGA

“Roots of Yoga.”

Hatha yoga is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises).

It is one of the most popular yoga styles in the world. Using both physical movements and breathing techniques, it helps you to strengthen your muscles, increase your flexibility of the spine, and boosting immunity to relaxing the mind.

The word “ha” means sun, “ta” means moon. “Hatha” means the Yoga to bring balance between the sun and the moon in you, or the Pingala and Ida in you.
Hatha is a style of yoga that has been practiced for thousands of years and continues to be the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world today.

The word “Hatha” means “force,” and comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian scholarly language. The practice focuses on strengthening exercises, and in a classic hatha class, you slowly flow between individual postures and align your breath to your controlled movements. A phase of tension is always followed by a sequence of relaxation. Hatha yoga is meant to give you stability and help you feel centered and balanced, both physically and mentally.

PRANAYAMA AND MEDITATION

“When we calm the mind, we reveal what we really are, our true essence.”

Meditation is a self practice and can be referred to as a practice of deep concentration leading to complete awareness.

Meditation is an awareness of the present moment, a focus with no attachment and no ultimate seeking. It is one of the highest yogic practices and one of the last ones in the eight fold path by Patanjali. Meditation improves the mental state by providing deep relaxation, and it can be practiced anywhere.

When we talk about Pranayama is translated as an extension of the prana force.
Pranayama is the ancient practice of controlling the breath. In Sanskrit, “prana” means life energy and “yama” means control. Through the different breathing techniques you can control the timing, duration, and frequency of every breath and hold.

The goal of pranayama is to connect your body and mind and if you control your breath you can control the quality of the experience of your life.

Pranayama prepares and focuses your mind for meditation, in fact after Pranayama, it is easy to sit in meditative.

The regular practice of the combination yoga asana with pranayama and meditation help individual to become health conscious and help them in living a happy life.

The key of happiness is the ability to silence the mind and live the present moment that encompasses everything.
